There is a galvanizing plant operating within EMO where surface treatment of steel-lattice towers for transmission lines, rotating antennas and other steel structures is performed. Dimension of galvanizing baths are suitable for galvanizing of steel elements with maximum length of 12 m. The annual capacity of galvanizing plant is 15000 tons working two shifts per day. Galvanizing process is carried out in conformity with relevant international standards and regulations. New technology Every year about 10 % of the total world production of iron and steel are wasted as a result of the corrosion process. Hot-dip galvanizing process gives an excellent finish which is long-lasting, cost-effective and resistant to aggressive atmosphere. Besides mechanical and chemical resistance features, the zinc coat is aesthetically the most acceptable finish. EMO OHRID has been applying the hot-dip galvanizing process for more than 20 years. Recently, a new modern technology has been introduced which provides: • high quality of galvanizing • low production costs • simple use • low power consumption • new product (FeCl2) is obtained, instead of waste acid • no waste with defrimental effects to the environment |
